The Morning After Game of Thrones Finale

Sooo…how are ya doing today? Are you good with the ending of Game of Thrones? Or did you have to take a day off to digest it? A recent survey predicted that nearly 27 million people would take today off to do so. Or…claim that they were. Either way, it’s a day off, right?

BUT…some folks are taking the ending a bit more seriously. Some upset by the whole final season and at last check, over a million people have signed a petition for a complete season re-do.

Also, there are online counseling sessions for people who are having a little more trouble saying goodbye to the beloved series. (WARNING: Article contains some spoilers)

But there is a little hope on horizon for those who want more of George R.R. Martin’s world. A prequel is in the works.

Since the prequel takes place thousands of years before the original, it’s doubtful that any of the characters that you have grown to love will make an appearance.

But then again…never say never. – KW

Sarah Jessica Parker Calls Out the National Enquirer

YES!!!! SJP called out the National Enquirer on Instagram yesterday for attempting to fabricate a story about her relationship with her husband of 22 years, Matthew Broderick. She shared a typical email from the publication requesting a comment on the story from an alleged “witness.” I think her public comment on social media says it all. #Respect – KW

Just like clockwork. Over a decade of the same untrue, disgraceful nonsense.  As usual, days ahead of our anniversary on May 19th, The National Enquirer is making its annual best effort to fabricate and undermine, this time a blissful 4 days with my husband in London. There was no "screaming match" as alleged in a restaurant or on the street, nor was there a confrontation as alleged about his time in London. My children and I are enormously proud of the work he is doing.  After much thought I have decided to share a typical letter of "inquiry" from these people. As if the truth, a response or any comments from me or my publicist had any bearing on what they threaten to "report" .  Hey National Enquirer and your sister publications, why not celebrate a marriage of 22 years and relationship of 27 years? Because, despite your endless harassment and wasted ink, we are nearing 3 decades of love, commitment, respect, family and home.  There's your "scoop" From a "reliable source". #tabloidharassment

Keanu Reeves Shares the Most Beautiful, Honest Answer to a Most Difficult Question

During a recent interview on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Keanu was asked, “What do you think happens when we die, Keanu Reeves?”

I wasn’t expecting that such a short and sweet response would be the perfect answer to end all questioning. And the internet can’t stop talking about it.

This is just one of the many reasons why Keanu Reeves is one of the sweetest people on earth. – KW

Take Some Mini-Vacations!

This past week, I listened as my sweet sis-in-law said she needed a vacation in the worst way. When we reminded her of our next overseas trip in November, she made a lot of sense when she said she needed one NOW!

After thinking it over a couple of days, I wondered what the real definition of “vacation” was. To me? It’s time off to recharge the batteries. It’s not about crossing stuff off the chores list, unless that’s how you like to recharge…but I’m not like that. Sometimes, I like to just wear my sweats and binge TV shows alone. Weather depending, I like to visit parks or family. And sometimes, I like to just get in my car and drive somewhere I’ve never been. One time, I just stopped and stood in a field of sunflowers and soaked up the ambiance! (No worries. The owner let me) Bottom line is, it’s not about any kind of work at all, like stuff you do normally day to day. Since she works from home, I could definitely see how even staying at home doesn’t seem like a vacation to her.

So when we asked her what she would like to do, she just wanted to get out in nature and see flowers and the blooming trees. She wanted to visit antique stores. So, this weekend, we’re calling it a vacation and taking a day trip to the Eastern Shore. We’re bringing our GOOD cameras (no cellphone pics). We’re going to document our mini-vacation on video so we can look back on it and plan more of these. And we’re going to find a new place to eat some good food. Sure, it’s only a day, but guess what won’t happen? Laundry, yard work, paperwork…basically…WORK of any kind.

I take vacations often. At least a couple of days a week when I leave the office and most times when I have the weekend off. A vacation doesn’t have to be a week long at the beach or two weeks in a different state or country. It can be right here in our own backyard. As long as it’s something you can do to recharge and refresh, anytime and anywhere, just call it a “vacation” and enjoy. And schedule them often! It’s amazing what it can do for your spirit. – KW

Reactions to Royal Baby Name?

Since Baby Sussex’s name was revealed, I’ve been stalking social media for reactions. Yep, I’m the girl with the popcorn and totally interested! It’s been fun!

So far, the reactions are mostly positive, but on the other end of the spectrum, there are a few Archie comics gifs, a few “who cares” comments and a few people who just downright don’t like it and not ashamed to be all snarky about it. And I’m over here like, “hey…go have a beer and lighten up a little!”

Me? First of all, it’s not my baby, so it really doesn’t matter if I like it or not. But… my opinion is…I kind of like it. Actually, it’s kind of AWESOME!!!! I like that they sort of broke away from the traditional names that have been handed down for generations. Harry and Meghan have always been their own kind of royal…always been fun and I wouldn’t expect anything less! So…I say…WELCOME baby Archie!!!! I know you’ll be just as cool as your mom & dad! And…I look forward to seeing all the photos to come!

AWE! LOOK AT THAT SWEET FACE!!!! – KW

The Shoe is BACK!

Siiiiiigh. I promised myself that I would not get sucked into the internet abyss again after the great viral dress debate of 2015. Yet, here I am…focusing my eyes on a pic of somebody’s sneaker and trying to see what the fuss is about.  We’ve had this argument about this SAME shoe in 2017…and now it’s back for round 2!  Why?????  Let’s settle this.

Aaaaaand…I saw both. Yep. At first, I saw them as teal. And then I saw them as pink.

Apparently, if we’re right brain dominant, we will see pink.  If we are left brain dominant, we will see teal.

Now I’m scaring myself.

The shoe is PINK, btw.  Or…as the description states, Mahogany Rose.  Same thing.

Do you still see teal now?
